Earth Day Parade April 22 on The Drive

Car Free Vancouver is proud to promote an Earth Day Parade organized entirely by inspired youth on the Drive, on Friday, April 22nd.

The GREATEST thing about this event is that it is from the freshest of the grassroots — this Earth Day Celebration is being plotted by young folks throughout Vancouver High Schools! Andrea Curtis of the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret is working with them as a mentor… and they’re changing my game. Wow! So inspiring.

Show them that us older (and even younger) generations are engaged. That we’re supportive. Creative, and ready to roll into the streets and into the park to be a power in numbers!

After the march and the festivities, you are all invited to come down to the massive Earth Day direct action in resistance to the Gateway Project’s South Fraser Perimeter Road – buses and carpools will be in effect from the Britannia Oval- see http://stopthepave.org/wave for the inside scoop.
